Gorgeous Namibian Beauty Dillish Wins Big Brother Africa - The Chase

 

Namibia's Dillish Mathews wins Big Brother Africa - The Chase! The first time that a Namibian housemate won the continental reality TV show. She walked away with the grand prize of US$300,000.

The gorgeous Namibian started her chase race as the proverbial underdog and was labeled everything from lazy to a pampered princess. As the chase rolled on however, Dillish held her own and quickly emerged as a very strong contender for the chase title and won her fellow housemates and Africa over, with her quirky, accented alter ego, aptly titled Princess  Dillish. She proved to be a beauty with lovely character afterall.

MARATHON RUNNER DELIVERS SURPRISE BABY

 

 

Trish Staine a Minnesota woman experienced some back pain while training for a half marathon this past weekend. After her two-hour training session left her with a sore back, she was stunned to discover that the pain was not due to a pulled muscle or a slipped disc but that she was about to give birth.

Trish Staine, a 33 year old mother of three says she had no idea she was pregnant as in the months prior, she gained no weight, felt no fetal movement and that her husband has had a vasectomy.

Staine says she noticed what she now realizes were labor pains after her run at noon on Sunday, but she didn't go to the hospital until the following day. She gave birth to Mira - short for Miracle, at 3:25pm Monday. Mira weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 18.9 inches long. Whao. 

''Big Brother Africa - The Chase''... It's On!

Big Brother Africa, Season 8 aptly dubbed ''The Chase'' kicked off today May 26th, 2013. It's featuring 28 new housemates from 14 countries across the African continent. The grand prize $300,000 is 91 days away, and the road to it is definitely going to be bumpy with twists and turns around each corner. I guess only the fittest survive.

CAN'S Borno Secretary Killed Minutes After Pres. Jonathan's Broadcast

 Reverend Faye Pama Musa, the secretary of the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno state was shot dead Tuesday evening just minutes after President Jonathan declared a state of emergency in Borno and two other states (Adamawa and Yobe) which has been plagued by incessant terrorist activities.
 Reverend Pama Musa, who was the head of a pentecostal church in Maiduguri, was shot dead inside his GRA home by two gunmen who are suspected to be Boko Haram members. The head of Borno CAN have confirmed his killing.

'' Hammer House Of Horror'' Right In Our Midst

 In a bid to curb crime and some nefarious activities in our midst, the Imo state police command, south-east of Nigeria has uncovered a child trafficking syndicate posed as a motherless babies home as well as a sachet water factory. Over 30 pregnant girls below the age of 20 were held hostage and kept for the purpose of child trafficking.

These young girls were reported to be lured into this hostage home either already pregnant or got impregnated in the house with a promise to get the sum of fifty thousand naira in exchange for the baby after delivery. Though there is no freedom just yet as after delivery, the girls are taken right back into captivity and the cycle of reproduction continues. Any attempts at escaping from this hostage house would leave the girls with serious injuries being inflicted on them by their captors.

As at the time of this report by the state police command, the owner of this illicit trade simply known as '' MADAM 1000'' is currently on the run, as the police is on her trail.

Three Women Abducted Found Alive After About Ten Years

Three Ohio women abducted seperately about a decade ago, were found alive on Monday at a home in Cleveland near where they were last seen. The US police were alerted to the whereabouts of the women by a frantic emergency call from one of the victims, Amanda Berry, who was freed from the house by a neighbour by the name Charles Ramsey, who said he heard screaming and came to her assistance.

Amanda Berry was last seen about 10 years ago leaving her job at a fast food restaurant to go home on the day before her 17th birthday. The other two women found with Ms Berry were identified by authorities as Gina DeJesus, 23, who disappeared in 2004 at age 14, and Michelle Knight who was reported to have been 20 when she vanished more than a decade ago.

Three brothers Ariel Castro, Pedro and Onil, have been arrested as suspects in connection with these kidnaps.
After they were rescued, all three women including a six year old child Amanda had in captivity were taken to a local hospital,where it is confirmed they were all ''safe'' and '' appear to be in fair condition. This said, the emotional and psychological healing for these ones have barely just began.

A study by American scientists presented recently supports the view that a substance in egg white has the ability to lower blood pressure without negative effects.

Scientists reported that a component of egg whites, already popular as a substitute for whole eggs among health-conscious consumers concerned about cholesterol in the yolk may have another beneficial effect in reducing blood pressure, reports Science Daily.
